The Paul Baran Young Scholars is a community of young scientist advancing the frontiers of telecommunications in emerging fields that are likely to be in the forefront of future applications. Through their creative work, scientists, engineers, and entrepreneurs celebrate and honor the spirit of courage and wisdom exemplified by Marconi in order to improve the world.
Author registration (poster session)
The poster session is scheduled to provide an opportunity for presenters to exhibit their work to attendees to attending Marconi Fellows, recipients of the Marconi Prize, widely considered being the Nobel Prize for telecommunications. Each presenter will be provided a bulletin board on which to hang their poster. Prior to the poster session, we ask that presenters prepare a 1 slide summary of their research and present it briefly with a 1 or 2 minute pitch. This will enable attendees to gain a quick summary of your work and then, if interested, allow them the opportunity to ask more questions during the poster session. A projector will be available. Poster session is limited to 15 presenters.
10:00-10:30 Check-in and setup for poster presenters. Light breakfast provided.
10:30-10:45 Welcome remarks from the Marconi Young Scholars and description of the Young Scholar program
10:45-11:30 Poster pitch session. 1-2 minutes per poster
11:30 – 12:30 Poster session, Lunch provided
12:30 – 12:45 Overview of the Celestini program and the recent symposium on Transformative Digital technologies
12:45 – 2:00 Startup Talks
2:00 – 2:30 Startup Q&A Panel
2:30 – 3:00 Closing remarks. Networking afterward
