GB-wide Mink Eradication?
We are seeking your opinions, and those of a wide range of other conservationists, on the prospect of eradicating American Mink from Great Britain. Developments in mink trapping, particularly trap alerts (smart traps), the potential of eDNA for detection of mink, and the evidence of success from numerous catchment-scale control programmes has encouraged us to contemplate this possibility, along with the continuing need to protect the still-declining water vole. Full details of our thinking can be found at   https://tinyurl.com/yb7zye95.
