Metro by T-Mobile (MetroPCS) Settlement
The NYC Department of Consumer and Worker Protection (DCWP) recently settled a lawsuit against T-Mobile USA, Inc. and MetroPCS New York, LLC, which operated “Metro by T-Mobile” or “MetroPCS” stores or contracted with independent dealers to operate “Metro by T-Mobile” or “MetroPCS” stores (“Metro Stores”) DCWP alleged that consumers were deceived at Metro Stores in New York City.
A Claims Fund has been set up to compensate people who (i) purchased a used phone believing it was new, (ii) were overcharged at a Metro Store, or (iii) were unable to complete a return at a Metro Store within 30 days of their purchase. Please note that your claim related to used phones or overcharging must have occurred in New York City after September 5, 2016. Your claim related to return issues must have occurred in New York City between September 5, 2016 and October 31, 2019.

The deadline for filing your claim is June 23, 2022.
