Registration: Certificate of Evangelism - Church Army
The Certificate of Evangelism - Church Army is composed of four audited courses and one Evangelism Practicum designed and implemented by Church Army. All courses, including the Evangelism Practicum, must be registered for by submitting this online form. Please note that though the four courses can be completed in any order, ME500 - Introduction to World Mission is a prerequisite to the Practicum.
In hopes of helping Certificate students move through the program in a timely manner, Trinity offers self-paced audits during semesters that certain courses are not being offered. If you register for a self-paced audit, you will receive a link to an interactive schedule with recorded lectures. Self-paced audits must be completed within the bounds of a semester and cannot be dropped after the link is shared.
Keep in mind that each audited course will require a 3-5 page summary paper based on an assigned text. These papers will be submitted to and reviewed by Church Army. For more information on course and practicum requirements, please see the Certificate's home page:
The Certificate of Evangelism will be awarded by Trinity School for Ministry to qualified students upon successful completion.
Costs: Auditing a course at Trinity, whether residentially, online, or self-paced, costs $300. You will receive a bill within the first several weeks of the semester. If you would like to pay online or have questions concerning billing, please contact Stacey Williard at
If you have not been accepted to enroll in the Certificate of Evangelism, please fill out an application at

"Self-Paced Audit" allows the student to engage the course materials on their own time. Studies must be completed by the end of the term, however. After registration, students will gain access to a document containing all the lectures and other study helps.
"Online Audit" allows the student to engage the course materials in a measured pace along with for-credit students in Trinity's online learning environment, Google Classroom. Students should contact the professor record to determine if they can join in course discussions.
"Residential Audit" allows the student to engage the course materials at a measured pace along with for-credit students at Trinity's campus in Ambridge. Students should attend each in-person class session.
