Commercial Building Owner/Tenant Participant
Bird Safe Nashville has launched Lights Out Nashville in an effort to create a safe pathway for migratory and resident birds.

Commercial Building owners/tenants are asked to pledge the following: during Spring (March - May) and Fall (August - October) migration. From dusk to dawn, when feasible, turn off non-essential lighting in your buildings and turn off or ensure exterior lighting is facing downward.

 Turn off interior lighting

 Substitute task and area lighting for workers staying late and close blinds if available

 Turn off exterior decorative lighting, including flood lights

 Reduce lobby and atrium lighting where possible

 Down-shield exterior lighting or limit to ground level

Please note: Bird Safe Nashville asks for your physical address so that we can map locations that have signed up to participate. We will not publish participants addresses nor will we share your address with anyone outside of our organization.
