Board Member Expectations and Time Commitment: You are expected to fully commit to your position and to your team should you assume a spot on your chapter's Executive Board. The time commitment varies depending on the position you take on. At minimum, board members are required to fulfill their position's responsibilities and attend both your weekly Executive Board meetings and your biweekly chapter meetings/events. Board members are also required to attend TWN National events. All board members must assist in promoting your chapter's meetings/events on social media, as well as collaborate with the rest of the Executive Board to ensure your chapter's overall growth and success.
Responsibilities include – but are not limited to – the tasks below:
Responsibilities of the President:
-Manages all external affairs, including the chapter's registration and advisor relationship/communication
-Oversees all chapter-level meetings and events
-Coordinates speakers alongside the VP of Events; moderates many of the chapter meetings
-Sends weekly chapter emails
-Manage the chapter's events calendar
-Co-leads and co-facilitates weekly Executive Board meetings alongside the chapter's VP
-Interviews and helps onboard new Executive Board members, and helps transition the chapter by the time the term ends
-Attends twice-per-month TWN President meetings
-Attends all TWN National and chapter events
-Ensures that all deadlines are being met, events are high-quality, marketing is consistent, and the chapter values are living up to the organization's expectations and standards.
Responsibilities of the Vice President:
-Manages all internal affairs, including the Executive Board (alongside the chapter President)
-Follows up with each Executive Board member weekly to ensure that deadlines are being met and they are receiving adequate support
-Helps to facilitate communications between different committees (such as the chapter's marketing and events committees)
-Attends all TWN National and chapter events
-Helps to facilitate, plan, and lead weekly Executive Board meetings alongside the chapter's President
-Plans Executive Board bonding events
-Creates the attendance forms for meetings/events and follows up with members to ensure they remain active and valued in the chapter and Network
-Takes minutes/notes at every Executive Board meeting
Responsibilities of the VP of Marketing:
-Creates, designs, and publishes at least 3 Instagram posts per week (on your chapter's Instagram account)
-Designs promotional materials (e.g., flyers/posters, merchandise, etc.)
-Manages and leads the chapter's Marketing Committee (holds meetings, provides feedback, mentors committee members)

Responsibilities of the VP of Events:
-Plans and executes most chapter events, including networking/"Mocktails" events, speaker events, professional development workshops, recruitment events, social activities, etc.
-Plans out the chapter's events calendar, alongside the chapter President and VP
-Manages and leads the chapter's Events Committee (optional)
Responsibilities of the VP of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI):
-Develops relationships with other organizations on campus, including multicultural communities and other women's organizations
-Reaches out to other organizations to partner on or co-sponsor events (e.g., co-hosting events, promoting our organization on their social media accounts and vice versa, etc.)
-Ensures all members feel welcome and valued in our community
-Plans a DEI event each semester
Responsibilities of the VP of Finance:
-Oversees all chapter financial matters, including fundraising efforts, event budgets, sales, and reimbursements
-Executes at least 2 fundraisers per semester (bakes sales, merch sales)
-Applies for university funding and manages the chapter budget
Responsibilities of the Trip Coordinator:
-Plans the once-per-year networking trip (can be in-person or virtual) by reaching out to companies, coordinating times, and working closely with the VP of Marketing to promote the event
-Polls chapter members to determine where their career interests lie
Responsibilities of the Lead Ambassador:
-Oversees the chapter's recruitment and retention efforts, executed by the Campus Ambassadors team
-Manages the entire Campus Ambassador team, organizes and leads biweekly Campus Ambassador team meetings, and tracks their recruiting process
-Plans the chapter's tabling and recruitment events
Responsibilities of a Campus Ambassador
Campus Ambassadors are motivated, passionate, and energetic members of the leadership team who are responsible for spreading TWN's mission and recruiting new members. Required to attend all chapter events, participate in chapter recruiting initiatives, and promote TWN through digital and social campaigns.
