The club is open to students who are in grades K-6 in the Bethlehem school district, and bordering districts who do not compete in the Capital District Youth Wrestling League.
For wrestlers who are unsure if they would like to fully commit, the first 4 practices will be a "Try-it" period. This is a great opportunity for wrestlers who want to learn about the sport and who are not 100% committed as of yet.
There are a few pricing tiers this year. If you are registering a K-2 wrestler, the price is $150. If you are registering a K-2 wrestler who would like to order a singlet and register for NYWAY, the price is $200. If you are registering a returning 3-6 wrestler and your singlet fits, the price is $250. If you are registering a new 3-6 wrestler or a returning wrestler who needs a new singlet, the price is $300. We will be ordering the same singlets as last year. The club fee covers the club t-shirt, singlet (if purchased) 11 weeks of instruction, CDYWL league dues, NYWAY Card (if purchased), club Insurance, and post season awards. For clarification, If your wrestler wants to participate in the NYWAY post-season tournaments, you must have a singlet and a NYWAY card. (3-6 wresters will participate in the CDYWL duals unless otherwise specified)
There is a $25 sibling discount. Full price for first wrestler then $25 discount for each sibling after.
Cash, checks or Venmo is accepted. Checks can be made out to: BETHLEHEM WRESTLING BOOSTER CLUB. If paying by check or Venmo, please list your wrestler(s) name and youth wrestling in the memo line. Venmo payments can be submitted to me @John-Kiskiel-1. Cash and checks can be brought to the first day of practice. Again, please include your wrestler(s) name and youth wrestling in the memo line for checks and Venmo payments.
Scholarships are available for wrestlers who may need financial assistance. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you are looking for a full or partial scholarship.
If a parent/relative would like to purchase a club t-shirt, it will be an addition $15 for each shirt. There will be a section below where you can enter how many shirts you’d like and what sizes you would need. Please include the T-shirt fee in your payment.
Practices for 3-6 will be held on Tuesday and Thursday 6:30pm to 8:00pm beginning November 13th, and for K-2 from 5:30pm to 6:15pm beginning Tuesday November 18th, in the middle school wrestling room. Practice time and day may change if a scheduled event at the middle school interrupts normal practice dates and times.
A practice and match schedule will be sent out no later than the second week.
