Religious Education Registration Grades K-5 and 1st Communion 2018-2019
Faith formation is an ongoing and life-long endeavor. It is the work of the entire community. For children, the primary place where they learn and experience their faith is in their homes and their primary educators are their parents and adult caretakers. Our program is designed as a shared undertaking between children, parents, and the parish. In addition to Sunday morning classes, parents will be given resources to learn about our faith and the sacraments at home with their children. We will also offer some adult learning sessions during children’s class time. Parents are asked to participate in the children’s classes during the year. We will email all families a link to an on-line sign-up form. Participation in Sunday Mass, the Eucharist, is a vital part of sacramental preparation and of our Catholic faith community. All families are expected to make a commitment to attend Sunday Mass (Saturdays at 4 PM or Sundays at 9 and 11:30 AM and 5 PM). This time of shared worship and learning is invaluable to children’s faith development.
