Engaging Students with Primary Sources: Summer Institute Level 1
Register to join Teaching with Primary Sources @ Mars Hill University in a FREE Summer Institute for teachers of all grade levels and content areas! Teachers will be introduced to the most efficient methods for locating useful primary sources for their content areas and grade levels using Loc.gov, as well as other online resources. Teachers will also be introduced to a variety of methods for successfully engaging even the most reluctant learner using primary sources. The Summer Institute will take place on the Mars Hill University Campus beginning July 8th and ending on July 10th. Breakfast and lunch will be provided each day free of charge. Dinner will be at participants expense. Housing will be provided for $35 per night if participants choose to stay on campus. After registration email is received participant will need to mail a check for $105 to stay three nights in on-campus housing or $70 to stay two nights in on-campus housing to:

Class will begin at 9:30 on Monday, July 8th. If you plan to provide your own accommodations, then there is no registration fee.
Participants will receive a certification of completion for 20 content hours. This certificate should be eligible for 2 CEUs in most NC school systems.
