MNyou is a youth led CSA program working to address food insecurity in West Central Minnesota. With the help of our “Buy One, Give One” initiative, we have served over 500 individuals in the Willmar community in our first three years.
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a way for consumers to buy directly from local farmers. In the summer, a share consists of in-season crops grown on the MNyou Vegetable farm. A typical share is 3/4 of a bushel (roughly 30 lbs.) and includes a variety of 20 different, in-season crops.
A typical summer share consists of:
- Radishes
- Turnips
- Onions
- Collards
- Kale
- Lettuce
- Spinach
- Broccoli
- Cabbage
- Potatoes
- Pac Choi
- Swiss Chard
- Arugula
- Peas
- Cucumbers
- Peppers
- Zucchini
- Eggplant
- Fennel
- Beets
- Sweet Corn
- Squash
The best part of every subscription is our innovative "Buy One, Give One" CSA model. For each subscription sold, MNyou donates a subscription of the same size to a family in our community needing a hand up.
This year's program starts June 7th and runs through September. You have the option to receive:
- 18-week Full Share (weekly): $625
- 9-week Half Share (every other week): $425
- 9-week Mini Share (every other week): $300
Flexible payment plans are available to lessen the financial impact on all subscribers.
Boxes may be picked-up at one of our designated pick-up sites or delivered to your front door for an additional fee.
**If you live elsewhere and would like a subscription, please contact us to work something out**
You will receive a weekly newsletter with information about the week's share and include recipes to provide you with ideas on how to use your vegetables!
