MODERN WEB DESIGNS – BUILT TO MARKET

As a marketing company, we will implement the best practices for online marketing when we are developing and designing your new website. This means that you will have a website that converts visitors into paying customers rather than just site that looks pretty.

All of our websites will include the following in most cases:

1. Large and visible phone number at the top of the page. This phone number needs to be a click to call number. Meaning when you visit the site on a mobile phone, you should be able to click the number and be able to call.

2. Form will be present on the home page in the main banner area and the form needs to direct you to a thank you page when you fill it out. We will also include a contact form on the contact us page. Additionally we will check all forms to ensure they are working and being pushed to the right email address(es) before taking the site from the stage environment and pushing it live.

3. There will be social icons on the site above the fold.

4. The theme will include all common short codes like [one_half] and other general short codes that can be used for posts/pages.

5. The site will be tested for mobile responsiveness before making live.

6. We will make sure that the visual and text options on posts and pages work properly.

7. Rights to photos used.

8. Contact Form Installed

9. Geo Tags for contact us page if an address is displayed.

10. SEO manager extension or plug-in installed

11. Call Tracking will be on all websites. For redesigns we will make sure your tracking codes are preserved.

12. Google Analytics Tracking Installation or Preservation of existing tracking codes i.e. UA tracking code, Conversion tracking codes, events etc…

13. Plugin “Duplicator” Back-up plug in needs to be installed to ensure back-ups are made and emailed regularly to webmasters.

14. Contact Form DB plug-in will be installed in order to prevent loss of data from form submissions via your online forms.

15. For redesigns, redirects need to be installed to ensure that the old URL’s redirect to the new URL’s. Example: If originally the client’s website had a pink belt page and the URL was www.clientsdomain.com/pink-belt

Then the redesign is done and let’s says there is a category added called belts that caused the pink belt page to be this: www.clientsdomain.com/belts/pink

If you don’t redirect the old URL to the new URL, Google will return to the pink belt page and find that it doesn’t work because the old URL doesn’t exist anymore, this is bad for SEO. We need to redirect all old URL’s to the new URL’s -OR- ensure that the web developer keeps all URLS the same as they were before the redesign. VERY IMPORTANT!!!!

The category page of that same website usually has a different layout than the product page. These are unique designs which we will need to know about before hand. Please call your consultant if you are unsure about how many pages you will need to have unique designs / layouts. Most websites have 5 unique pages minimum (i.e. – home, about us, services, testimonials & privacy policy is 5 pages) .
