Mugginton presently has a Pupil Admission Number (PAN) of 49 pupils and a site occupancy maximum of 53 pupils. With the alterations to the Infant classroom the latter could move to 55.  As of term 4, 2018, there are 51 pupils at the school. Without additional building infrastructure it will be difficult to increase these numbers but not necessarily impossible. Pupil numbers have a marked impact on the school budget but that is not the only factor involved in delivering an outstanding education.
Consider each of the statements below and indicate the extent to which you agree with them
1. Pupil numbers should not normally exceed the PAN (49).
