NOTE: There is a 3-month commitment to the Advanced Level membership. Termination before this period ends will result in a $250 fee.
The Membership is NOT for everyone so we will exercise strict scrutiny in choosing who should be a part of the program. Please be mindful of the commitment to doing the work, to showing up and to taking advantage of the resources provided. If you are unsure of your ability to remain in the program for THREE MONTHS, then don't apply. There are other options for you, like the workshops, strategy sessions and Unbundled Services.
This program is specifically designed to help you learn how to understand the laws, learn how to interpret your court rules, learn the best way to document, gather & organize your evidence, learn how to fill out & file documents, use practice tips to be a better witness, make better choices when working with attorneys, GALS, etc. and so much more. However, not everyone will find it helpful if you don't do THE WORK. This is not intended to just give you easy answers, you are responsible for doing your part as well. (Read the Agreement and the Rules for more details.)
The things we will cover: advise you on when working with an attorney is the better option if you are pro se. We will make recommendations on getting outside support or help when we think it would help you prepare better. We will suggest some tips on things not directly related to the legal aspect of your case if we think it could position your case better.
Our ultimate goal is to ensure that we help you with the legal aspect, but the emotional, mental, personal aspects too. Our approach is a holistic one, we believe that focusing on the whole you is the best way to increase your chances of getting the outcome you want. But the emphasis is on us working together in a holistic manner. That means we each have our responsibility and must be accountable.
We understand that people from all backgrounds have challenges processing emotions, focusing their attention, communicating effectively. So we take pride in making sure that our clients have the special attention they need to make navigating the Family Court process much smoother.
If you have any special concerns, require special attention in a specific area (like public speaking, organizing, etc.) or anything you want us to really focus on please include it.
