Students studying parks and recreation are essential to the future success and growth of the parks and recreation field. Their education and experiences will translate into enriching experiences for future generations as new ideas, research and technology emerge. You have the opportunity to invest in the future of a park and recreation professional by donating a gift basket to the Silent Auction at the IAPD/IPRA Annual Soaring to New Heights Conference on January 24-26, 2019.
The Silent Auction is a way in which the Illinois Park and Recreation Foundation (IPRF) raises funds for the Illinois Park and Recreation Student Scholarship Fund. The scholarship fund has been created to give high achieving students the opportunity to attend professional development conferences and workshops. The IPRF provides resources to park and recreation agencies and professionals statewide, and this scholarship is an important aspect of this commitment, as they work toward developing students professionally through networking and education. If you'd like to make a monetary donation to the IPRF, you can do so at: http://tinyurl.com/y8ubsp36
Donated items can be brought to the IPRA office by Friday, January 4, 2019 OR dropped off at the Silent Auction location at the 2019 IAPD/IPRA Conference by noon on Thursday, January 24, 2019.
