Are you an Austin or South Austin Neighbor?
WE WANT YOUR INPUT ON A NEW PUBLIC ART PROJECT!

The City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE), in partnership with the offices of Alderman Emma Mitts (37th Ward) and Alderman Christopher Taliaferro (29th Ward), is pleased to announce an upcoming public art project to be located on the Central Avenue viaduct walls at Lake Street, where the 29th and 37th Wards meet. Artwork will take the form of a painted mural on the east- and west-facing walls of the viaduct.

Your input will help shape the vision for this mural! Feedback will be shared in the call to artists.

To participate, please join us at our Zoom community forum on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, and/or answer the following survey questions in the space provided.
