We will select two Math Assistants for the upcoming year. These positions do not have to be filled by financial aid recipients. Only rising juniors and seniors will be considered for these positions. Each position provides 5-10 hours of work per week at an hourly salary of $9.00. The skills required and duties are as follows:

Skills Required: Math Assistants must have a firm command of algebra and the ability to teach clearly and effectively. Knowledge of calculus is desirable.

Duties: Math Assistants work with the sophomore Math Archon to provide individual and small group tutoring for any student who wishes. Assistants are especially concerned with helping sophomores pass the algebra exam. They offer algebra review classes for sophomores, precalculus classes for juniorsm and help the sophomore Math Archon proctor. The Math Assistants, under the direction of the Assistant Dean, administer and help grade the algebra exams.
