Are you interested in helping Goblin Market? Volunteer (without pay) with us and help make Gob Mart the best it can be for our community!

We're looking for:
8:30 AM MORNING SHIFT
^ this means all members of the morning team MUST report to the team huddle in the Northwest parking lot of the Oviedo Mall at 8:30 am to receive their assignments and tools for the day!

- Load in team including; vendor load in squad for folks who can make quick decisions, are good listeners and retainers of information, can communicate clearly and kindly, and (preferably) experienced with load in at other markets or conventions!
These shifts end around 12:30pm when the final cars are removed from the lot.

- Set up crew including; people who are strong and capable of lifting and placing signage, trashcans, and speakers around the event, okay to lift 50lbs or more as needed, good with tools (provided), good at listening and assisting those using said tools, cleaning the lot of trash before vendors arrive, and assisting with the moving and set up of materials like tables, tents, and trading tent stuff! These people should be good listeners who can quickly execute tasks given to them and are able to easily lift in the heat for a few hours in the morning.
These shifts are until around 12:00pm (or earlier), whenever material is properly placed!

11:30 AM MID SHIFT
^ this means all members of the midday team MUST report to the team huddle in the Northwest parking lot of the Oviedo Mall at 11:30 am to receive their assignments and tools for the day!

- Trading Tent Kings including; folks who are quick witted and competent in stressful and busy situations; they keep the area clean and functioning, answer questions, and are able to tell people "no" when needed; they can retain information well; willing to be confident and yell when need be but keep a steady and friendly voice and presence; good multitaskers capable of talking to, haggle about, joking with, any and all attendees of goblin market; and team workers! It's a very social job!
These shifts end at 6:30 pm when materials are packed up.

- Information Booth Goblins including: being attentive to guests questions; retaining information quickly and correctly; conveying information concisely and consistently to guests; having good directional skills to assist people with maps; good customer service skills to hand out maps, inform about the quests board and future markets; keeping organized and tabs on materials as they're needed.

- Roaming staff including; moving through the event to check on full trashcans, checking on staff to ensure everyone is hydrated, filling in at their position if they need a lunch break, and being knowledgeable on event information to inform guests with questions.

5:30 PM END OF DAY SHIFT
^ this means all members of the midday team MUST report to the team huddle in the Northwest parking lot of the Oviedo Mall at 5:30 pm to receive their assignments and tools for the day!

- Clean up crew including; using grabbers and gloves to clean the lot after the event has ended, pick up and transport trash bags, pack equipment and trading tent up, and break down tents.

Additional Details: All shifts come with free lunch! We have food vouchers for $16 and drink/dessert vouchers for $8, good with any of our participating food vendors! We'll have neck fans for everyone along with waters. We have a few chairs but it's encouraged to bring your own if you want to sit for your lunch break! Additional perks include this months gob mart sticker and first dibs on stuff at the trading tent (no trade required) especially for those working the trading tent!

Reminder! This is a gig- type position! You're allowed to take more then one shift but please don't overwhelm yourself! Participating in one market doesn't guarantee a position at another market, but we do look forward to building a strong, repeat team to rely on as our monthly markets continue! Our volunteers are non-paid community volunteers who care about Gob Mart and are willing to help it be fun and functional! Our team captains or shift leads are repeat staff members who are paid and will be pulled from the volunteer pool. To be considered for a staff position, you must have completed at least one Goblin Market volunteer shift of the same position!

Anyone caught harming the Goblin Market name by being hateful, behaving inappropriately, or intentionally giving false information to guests and vendors will be dismissed, not paid, and asked not to return. But on the other hand, if anyone gives you a hard time while loading them in or yells and argues with you at the trading tent- you can call me over and they will be publicly humiliated and asked to leave! I got your backs gobs <3
