Marketplace Morning Report/Current Events Form

Each day you will fill out the following form in class (or at home if you're absent). We will do Morning Marketplace Reports or some Current Events (CE) every day.

If you are absent, go to the Marketplace Morning Report, download that day's morning report and do the Current Event at home: http://www.marketplace.org/shows/marketplace-morning-report

Grading will be based on the following rubric:

4 – Entire CE assignment:
a. Demonstrates thoughtfulness, preparation, and accuracy
b. Reflects real understanding of the story and the issues
c. Follows directions
d. Is complete (i.e. has at least four facts/opinions)
e. Asks and answers a provocative (for discussion purposes) question or question that student does not understand

3 – CE is complete but lacking 1 of a.- d. OR CE lacks "ask and/or answer" section

2 – CE lacks 2 of a. – e.

1 – CE lacks most of the required characteristics

0 – CE is late (excepting all day absence) or not enough to consider complete
