Please read the following carefully.
1. Members
may not use the concessionary routes for gain or reward.
2. The
concessionary routes are for current members of NBHBA
only.
3. Non-members
should not be taken through.
4. Members
should not use the routes after the 31st March until membership subscription payment for
the following year has been paid and the membership form completed.
5. Members
are not to ride the concessionary route in groups of more than six at a time
except for any organised ride by NBHBA.
6. Members
ride the concessionary routes at their own risk.
7. Members
must ensure at all times that they have adequate third party insurance cover
BEFORE riding the routes and provide evidence of this to NBHBA each year.
8. Members,
by signing this document indemnify the Association, the Landowners and
the Tenants against any claims arising from use or mis-use of the routes.
9. Combination
lock numbers must not be passed to non-members.
10. All
gates must be left as they are found, locked or unlocked and riders must ensure
that any other locks present can be used separately to open the gate. Failure
to do this may result in NBHBA losing the right to the concessionary.
11. Members
must conduct themselves in a responsible manner and not be a nuisance to the
landowner or any person who has proper rights to use the land or neighbouring land. All “No Cantering” signs must be observed.
12. Livestock
must not be disturbed.
13. Galloping
on any concessionary route is forbidden at all times. The speed used must take account of ground conditions so that no damage is incurred.
14. Any damage noticed to the land, irrespective of who has done it, must be reported to a committee member (or nbhbridleways@gmail.com) so the damage can be notified to the land owner.
15. No Litter must be left on the Concessionary Routes at any time
16. The routes can only be used during daylight hours.
17. The routes can only be used for Horse Riding which includes the use of a leading rein only (either ridden or on foot).
18. Pedestrians MUST be given right of way
19. Any
member found contravening these rules may forfeit their rights to membership of
NBHBA and will not be given new combination numbers
20. Combination
numbers will be changed periodically by NBHBA and communicated
to members who have provided a signed agreement to abide by these arrangements.
21. All
members using a concessionary MUST wear the Hi-Viz of the Association, purchased by the individual from the Association, to
identify to the landowner the association they belong to.
23. Any
family members under 16 should must be accompanied by an adult member, ie. 18
and over, on any concessionary route. The adult member is responsible for the behaviour
of the under-age member.
