Som frivillig spiller du en viktig rolle i å skape Ekkofestivalen, og skal jobbe tett på Ekko-ansatte. Her er info om de ulike arbeidsoppgavene under festivalen.
FESTIVALVERTER:
Festivalvertene representerer Ekko utad og er i direkte kontakt med publikum. Festivalverter gir publikum den informasjonen de trenger for at de besøkende skal ha den beste festivalopplevelsen.
DISTRIBUSJON:
Distribusjonsgruppen er ansvarlig for å spre ordet om årets festival. Frivillige henger opp plakater i byens gater, gir ut flyers, og sørger for at alle vet hvor, når og hva Ekko Festival er. Her kan man jobbe i et team på to. Mye av arbeidet er gjort i forkant av festivalen.
RIGGING:
Å lage en stor festival på et lite sted som Østre krever mye fysisk arbeid. Tunge løft, koordinering og en god del løping frem og tilbake. Dette er jobben for deg som liker de tekniske aspektene bak festivalproduksjon. Rigging skjer ofte før og etter arbeidstid, så du får muligheten til å se alle konsertene under festivalen.
TRANSPORT:
Liker du å kjøre bil og kjenner bygatene ut og inn, er dette jobben for deg. Frivillige henter artister på flyplassen, kjører utstyr frem og tilbake mellom spillesteder og er alltid klare for en liten kjøretur når det trengs. Frivillige svarer til Frivilligkoordinator, som setter opp en transportplan med tider, ruter og kontaktinfo.
RUNNER:
Hvis du er en Jack of all trades vil det å være en runner passe deg godt. En runner sin jobb er å hjelpe der det trengs, enten det er en rigger, en festivalvert, en sjåfør, en distributør eller å hjelpe til med pynting og kaffelaging. En runner kan gjøre litt av alt.
UTSTILLINGSVERT
Utstillingsverter hjelper til med å sette opp, være utstillingsvert i åpningstider og rigge ned utstillinger før, under og etter festivalen. Frivillige vil være med i hele utstillingsprosessen og jobbe tett på kunstnerne.

FESTIVAL HOSTS:
Festival hosts are Ekko Festival’s representatives, who are in direct contact with our audience. Festival hosts will provide the audience with the information they need to ensure that our visitors have the best festival experience.
DISTRIBUTION
The distribution team is responsible for spreading the word about this year’s festival. Volunteers will put up posters in the city’s streets, hand out flyers, and make sure that everyone knows where, when and what Ekko Festival is. This can be done with a team of two, and much of the work will happen before the festival starts.
RIGGING:
Creating a big festival in a small space like Østre requires a lot of physical work. Heavy lifting, coordination, and a good deal of running back and forth. This is the job for you who like the technical aspect behind a festival production. Rigging often takes place before and after working hours, so you will get the opportunity to see all the concerts during the festival.
TRANSPORT:
If you like driving and know the city streets inside out, this is the job for you. Volunteers pick up artists at the airport, drive equipment from and to different venues, and are always ready for a drive when needed. Volunteers answers to the Volunteer coordinator, who sets up a transportation plan with times, routes and contact information.
RUNNER:
If you are a Jack of all trades, the job of being a runner will suit you. A runner’s job is to help where it’s needed, whether it is rigging, festival hosting, driving, distributing or helping with decorations and coffee making. A runner can do a bit of everything!
EXHIBITION HOSTS
Exhibition hosts help set up, host exhibitions during opening hours and rig down, before, during and after the festival. Volunteers will be involved in the entire process and work closely with the artists.
