Please submit a session proposal here
The Florida Scholarly Communication Interest Group Unconference builds upon the THAT Camp tradition of unconferences by welcoming and accepting session proposals from all attendees. Proposals may be viewed by anyone upon submission so others can share their questions and ideas on the topic in advance of the actual event. This tradition has proven to lead to exciting and productive conversations and facilitate new ideas and collaborations.

Unconferences are decentralized, participatory affairs. Anyone with an idea can initiate a session to discuss, teach, hack, build, problem-solve, or any combination of those things. Rather than a single speaker pontificating from the front of the room, unconferences encourage open discussion and participation.

This Unconference is really *YOUR* conference. Participants will determine the schedule and the topics, and we will provide the space and some logistical support. While we are embracing the open ethos of the unconference, we must also recognize that we’re gathering around a topic:  Scholarly Communication.  This  encompasses topics like emerging publishing practices, Digital Humanities, open access, IRs, copyright, author rights, altmetrics, and more.  We welcome creative and novel proposal ideas, as long as they are anchored in work that can be considered Scholarly Communication.
