Young Person's Lecture Competition Registration (Canadian Regional Final)
The Canadian Young Persons' Lecture Competition, hosted by the McDonald Institute and sponsored by IOM3 (
www.iom3.org) takes place online on June 28th at 10:00 a.m. EDT. Contestants will be chosen to present their research based on their submitted abstract. The winner of the Canadian YPLC Regional Final will compete at the Young Person's World Lecture Competition (YPWLC) taking place in November 2021. Each contestant who qualifies for the YPWLC will have a chance to present their research on a global stage, represent Canada and win prizes sponsored by IOM3.

Canadian YPLC Criteria:

1. Contestants must be under the age of 28 during YPWLC (November 2021).
2. Contestants must submit an abstract with registration.
3. Contestants have the choice to present a lecture on materials, minerals, mining, packaging, clay technology and wood science and engineering-related subjects.
4. Contestants will have 12-15 minutes to present their research to a panel of judges and will answer their questions at the conclusion of the presentation.
5. Entries are judged based on Submitted Abstract; Structure of lecture; Standard of presentation;Visual aids and physical examples; Technical content and Handling of judges' questions.
