Welcome! We’re so glad you’ve found us. Our specialized social skills groups are designed to foster social-emotional growth through engaging, movement-based activities. To ensure a highly supportive environment, our classes maintain a 1:3 adult-to-child ratio, led by multiple licensed and certified Occupational Therapists alongside trained adult volunteers.
Please review the key program details below:
- Group Dynamics & Support: To preserve the therapeutic group dynamic, we maintain small class sizes. While we are unable to accommodate requests for 1:1 dedicated support, our team actively modifies activities to meet and support each child at their individual developmental level.
- Curriculum: Each week, a new social-emotional concept is introduced and practiced using movement-based activities and real-world scenarios. Core topics include emotional identification, turn-taking, understanding the "size of the problem," and other essential peer-interaction skills.
- Parent/Caregiver Participation: To facilitate independence and peer focus, parents and caregivers are asked to remain outside the clinical suite for the duration of the session.
- Home Carryover: At pick-up, parents will receive a weekly handout detailing the lesson taught, along with professional recommendations to support the generalization and carryover of these skills into the home environment.

- Thursdays, 4:00–4:45 PM (September 10th, 17th, 24th) – Open for all additional registrations.

Class Fit and Support Information:
We work hard to create an inclusive environment and provide meaningful support to every participant. However, we also want families to be aware that there are natural limitations to the level of individual support that can be offered within a group setting.
While we make every effort to support each participant, if behaviors or safety concerns arise that pose a risk to the child, peers, staff, or the integrity of the group experience, an occupational therapist may pause or discontinue a child’s participation in the class. In those situations, we will communicate with the family and discuss alternative supports or next steps.
Our goal is always to provide a positive, safe, and productive environment where all children can learn, grow, and participate successfully.
