This application is to pitch at Seed the South on January 22nd or 23rd. The application deadline is 11:59 p.m. EST on Monday, December 2nd. We are working with ecosystem leaders and angel groups to get around 150 new and current early-stage investors in one room.

We will select 5 Pre-launch startups to pitch PitchBreakfest to kick off Seed the South on Wednesday, Jan. 22. We will select 5 Post-launch startups to pitch in the Big Pitch to conclude Seed the South on Thursday, Jan. 23.

Pre-Launch Startup requirement in pitch competition:
• Stage: Pre-Launch/MVP
• Around 1-3 years in business
• Raised less than $3m
• At least one founder located within 250 miles of Charlotte, NC

Post-Launch Startup requirement in pitch competition:
• Stage: Launched, generating revenue
• Around 1-3 years in business
• Raised less than $3m
• At least one founder located within 250 miles of Charlotte, NC


 We will be tallying votes for 3 categories at the Seed the South event (prizes will increase with sponsorship):
• Judge Big Pitch Favorite  ($1,000)
• Attendee’s Favorite Big Pitch ($1,000)
• Best Pre-Launch Quick Pitch at demo table ($1,000)
• Best Post-Launch Quick Pitch at demo table ($1,000 )

We will be inviting a total of 40 startups to participate (this includes those that are pitching) to take part in Startup Alley. (Pitch location; The Foundation for the Carolinas). The 40 selected startups will get 2 free tickets to Seed the South.
