United Screens of SAVVY Contemporary, NAAS - Network of Arab Alternative Screens and Sinema Transtopia of bi’bak, are pleased to announce the launching of Hacking Sinema Futures Together, a succession of events taking place from February to April 2022 in Berlin and beyond.
 
*Hacking Sinema Futures Together Gathering*
February 15, 2022 at Sinema Transtopia, Berlin

Within a half-day-program NAAS, Sinema Transtopia and United Screens will present their upcoming projects and the participants will have the chance to come together and exchange during the panel discussions as well as at the evening program including a dinner and a film screening.  


*Cinema of Commoning*
March to June 2022

bi’bak is planning a two-part symposium titled Cinema of Commoning at Sinema Transtopia. Between March to June 2022, non-commercial cinemas, initiatives, collectives, artists and researchers from Istanbul, Jakarta, Bangkok, Berlin and beyond will be invited for a series of film screenings, panels, think tanks and collective publication towards a commons-oriented cinema. The symposium will bring together and further develop concepts and strategies for a sustainable cinema that is oriented towards both the local and global common good, discussing cinema-theater as an active urban space, as location of collective discourse-making experiences, and as site of cultural memory.

*Think Well 3￨ Symposium*
April 20 to 23, 2022 (NAAS & United Screens; on-site in Berlin and online)

In the four-day Think Well #3 The Symposium - United Screens and NAAS together with enthusiasts for (eco)system change in the cinema field: film practitioners, cultural producers, economy architects, system designers, and everyone who identifies as one of the invisible weavers of this economy, will begin to fabulate into existence an ecosystem that can give expressions to streams of value generated through peer to peer, collaborative, all contributive practices of independent film circulation.
