Autoimmune Protection Act Petition

We, the undersigned, pledge our support for the Workers with Autoimmune Ailments Alliance’s Autoimmune Protection Act and call on both state governments and the federal government to pass this legislation in order to protect the lives of the 23-50 million Americans who have immune system disorders and reduce the ~40,000 deaths per year that are caused by these deadly disorders. We recognize that the Americans with Disabilities Act needs to be supplemented to address their unique needs and to create an easier enforcement process that works for the working class. We believe that those suffering from diseases like AIDS, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Celiac Disease, Crohn's Disease, and Lupus should have the right to:

  • Work from home until they are healthy enough to work in person

  • Wear a mask or use any breathing devices they need to survive.

  • Work in a clean, safe environment free from unnecessary dirtiness.
