Pokémemes VGC Tournament Summer 2015

You NEED to contact me on reddit @ www.reddit/com/user/fridge2177 OR on slack before 8 PM EST Monday night!!! Matches will proceed throughout the week and will happen when both players agree to a time. If a match takes 2 days to schedule both players will be disqualified unless a reason is given. If only 1 person has checked in by monday, the other player will be given a by.

Rules:


The tournament will be a single eliminationtournament. This means if you lose, you’re out of the tournament. The rules are as follows:

-The format is Doubles, ergo 1 on 1 battles.

-It will be Flat Rules. This means that no two pokémon on your team may have the same pokédex number, or the same held item.

-The pokémon will be set to lv. 50 if they are above that however pokemon below lv. 50 will not be raised to lv. 50.

-Also very important! When you get onto Slack or RaidCall, please try and message one of the admins (preferably fridge2177) ASAP so that I know how to contact you. If those don't work for you, PM me on reddit at /u/fridge2177 so I can help you out

-If you disconnect, you get an automatic loss, unless your opponent agrees to a rematch. In the case of the latter, the previous battle will not count towards the final result of who wins.

-Each participant will show up withat least four (4) pokémon and up to six (6) pokémon in their party.

-When the battle is about to start, each player chooses four (4) pokémon to use in that battle.

-To register, fill in the form below and then go to this website: https://cheezburger.typeform.com/to/GUppIp and register a user. You will receive an email shortly afterwards from an admin. Tournament standings will be posted in the Slack page.

-During the tournament all participants must be in the Slack Pokememes Tournament room. Fridge2177, GekkoGekko, Steelig or Jaymze are who you will need to contact. For more information on Slack, google it.

-The maximum amount of players has been set to 128. When this maximum is reached, no more players can participate in the tournament, so be quick.The tournament will start on Monday August 17th at 2 PM EST (for details about time here is EST time http://www.worldtimeserver.com/current_time_in_CA-ON.aspx) and registration will close Sunday August 16th at 9 PM EST if we haven't hit capacity already.

-Further announcements will be put up on the tournament website. After the battle, the winning player shall save the replay. If someone disconnects, no battle can be saved, but the disconnection will be noted. The tournament will be monitored by me (Fridge2177), GekkoGekko and Jaymze with Steelig on occasion. We will do our best to get the participants to find their opponent each round.
