2019 Wild on the Water Paddler Registration
Paddling for Wildlife Conservation
CROWN, local chapter of North Carolina Wildlife Federation, is calling all paddlers to help raise money for wildlife conservation. The event is on June 1, 2019, rain or shine.

Register by April 15 and be entered in a drawing for an ENO hammock (value >$100).  Deadline for all registrations and fee payment is May 15.  (See below.)

Wild on the Water is CROWN’s annual fundraising event which includes a guided tour on Mountain Island Lake around Latta Plantation Nature Preserve. All money raised goes towards CROWN’s wildlife conservation mission “to educate and engage the citizens of the greater Charlotte region about the benefits of creating wildlife friendly communities”.

Participants enjoy an easy paddle while watching for yellow-bellied sliders, great blue herons, red-tailed hawks, kingfishers, and visiting an active nest of ospreys. We’ll hear presentations from local wildlife scientists about the flora and fauna of Mountain Island Lake.

Check-In begins at 9:30am at Mecklenburg County's Latta Plantation Nature Preserve.  The paddle begins around 10am and concludes around 11:30am, followed by lunch and raffles.

Lunch is provided by Common Market. Raffle prizes include a kayak from Great Outdoor Provision Co., ENO hammock, USNWC passes, Two Trees Acupuncture certificate, and more.

You are welcome to bring your own canoe, kayak, or SUP. Single kayaks, tandem kayaks and canoes are available, first-come first-serve, per registration below.

After completing this form go to https://rally.org/wildonthewatercrown2019  to pay the $50 registration fee by clicking “Contribute” and/or raise the amount through sponsor donations by clicking “Become a Fundraiser”.
