Our Mission, Our Vision, Our Work

In July 25, 2018, BWD launched an international campaign, identifying 30 sisters worldwide, these sisters and many more have helped inspire the over 2000 "sister disruptors" of the BWD network.

BLACK WOMEN DISRUPT is an initiative designed to break paradigms of poverty, inequality, and exclusion of Black communities in the Americas and build international solidarity.

We recognize identity as a strength and an asset. We unlock untapped talent and resources, and harness Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Technology to foster sustainable growth and inspire competitive standing for Black women on a global scale.

OUR WORK encourages the use of digital tools and technologies, communication, and entrepreneurship among women of African descent. Together we build connections between Black women leaders to share knowledge, skills, and experience. We reconstruct narratives that disrupt the status quo, highlighting the contributions of women of African descent, investing in their power, recognizing their achievements, and the value of their innovation.
