Take action at the 1/16/24 Huntington Beach City Council Meeting; make public comments that educate the council on The National Day of Racial of Healing, demand that they reinstate the city’s observance of Black History Month, and to invite them to educate themselves on the history and current experience of anti-Blackness in Huntington Beach and wider Orange County.
To make public comment in-person:
· Arrive at the Huntington Beach City Council Chamber at least 10 minutes before the 6pm meeting start time.
· Fill out a pink “Comment Card” and hand it to the city clerk or other city staff before the meeting starts.
· The public comment period happens near the beginning of the meeting.
· When your name is called, come to the podium, and make your comment.
