TERMS AND CONDITIONS
PAYMENT TERMS: Cash is accepted, or Check payable to Serenade St. Louis. Credit card payments are accepted through PAYPAL. A PAYPAL account is not required. Please contact manager regarding credit card payments.
BOOKING DEPOSIT: $50 due with contract in order to secure performance date. The deposit is non-refundable. After deposit is received, it will be deducted from the total balance.
TOTAL FOR SERVICES: Due 7 days prior to date of performance. Performance will not take place until payment is received and is subject to cancellation. If payment is not received by performance date, an additional charge of $50 per day will be incurred.
FEES: Cancellations: Fee for cancellation 30 days or less prior to engagement: 10% of balance for services. Cancellation one week or less prior to engagement: 50% of balance for services. Cancellation on performance day: 100% of balance. Returned Check Fee: $50 plus any associated fees.
REFUND POLICY: In the event that unforeseen and uncontrollable circumstances dictate that all or some of the musicians are unable to perform, the purchaser will receive an equivalent refund covering the absentee.
EVENT CHANGES: Notification of event changes (i.e. venue, date, time) must be made in writing as soon as possible. Last-minute changes leading to the musicians being unable to perform will result in enforcement of standard cancellation fees.
OUTDOOR EVENTS: Musicians will not play under any circumstances of rain, drizzle, or direct sun. Purchaser shall provide a site with adequate shade and ground cover. An alternate indoor site should be provided if there is non-cooperative weather. Temperature requirements: between 62 and 95 degrees Fahrenheit. If temperatures fall below 70 degrees, effective designated outdoor heaters must be provided to help insure performance. Musicians retain the right to refuse performance if any harsh or damaging conditions exist. In the event that the musicians are unable to perform due to damaging weather conditions, and an alternate site or accommodations are not provided, full payment for services is still required.
PROVISIONS: Space: a quartet must have at least 10 square feet of space. A trio will require 8 square feet, and a duo approximately 5 square feet. Chairs: Please provide one sturdy, arm-less chair for each musician. Lighting: should be adequate to read music from a distance. Musicians will provide their own music stands.
BREAKS: For events longer than 1.5 hours, a break of at least five minutes for each hour is required. For example, if the performance is 3 hours long, a break of at least fifteen minutes total may be taken or split up as desired.
OVERTIME: $40 per half-hour per musician with the minimum of one half-hour. Overtime fees must be made at the wedding site before the start of ceremony or event, and must be paid in cash or by check. The musicians may not be able to provide overtime if there is a time restraint. If event exceeds time paid, musicians retain the right to stop performance.
SUBSTITUTION POLICY: In the event that a Serenade musician is unable to perform, a substitute player of equally high qualifications will be procured.
