Expectations

Coaches are available for the team practice and weekly game.
Coaches are trained appropriately.
Coaches should set a model of behaviour that is both professional and positive for their team.
Coaches come prepared with a weekly session that has clear learning objectives and is aligned to the Club curriculum.
Coaches are respectful towards their team, Club staff, parents, opponents and officials at all times.
Coaches connect with their coaching team to organize cover for any sessions they cannot make.
All coaches film/record their sessions or games as per Director of Coaching request.
All coaches complete a Personal Development Plan.

The Roles

Head Coach | Responsible for (aligning all plans to Club Game Model and Curriculum)

Developing a team plan that includes team shape in all moments of the game, key responsibilities for each player, weekly learning objectives, and key metrics to evaluate success.
Developing a weekly plan for training that includes individual and team objectives and aligns to the Club curriculum.
Tasking support coaches and staff.
Providing clear and consistent communication to parents on an on-going including weekly updates on training plans, game objectives and a summary measuring success of each week.
Liaising with Team Managers regarding any questions or concerns from the team.
Reporting to the appropriate person any questions, concerns or queries that require further action or input.

Assistant Coach | Responsible for

Carrying out on and off field tasks set out by the Head Coach.
Provide effective feedback set out by the Head Coach.
Supporting the team with effective communication to parents set out by Head Coach.
