River Parishes Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. 2025 - 2026 Scholarship Program for Colleges & Universities
Important: This application is only for students attending a traditional 4 year institution. If you are attending a community college, trade or vocational school, please complete the other application. 

1. DEADLINE for scholarship application to be received, including transcript is March 1, 2026.
2. Refer to criteria below for eligibility requirements.
3. Refer to application process below for a list of the supporting documents needed. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
4. If any question does not apply to you in this application, please put N/A in the space. 
5. Scholarship winners will be notified via email. 

Criteria: 
1. Applicant must be Black or of African American descent. 
2. Applicant must be a resident of one of the following parishes: St. Charles, St. James or St. John the Baptist.
3. Applicant must be a graduating high school senior in the year of the award.
4. Applicant must have a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher based on a 4.0 scale.
5. Applicant must be actively involved in community service. 

Note: Scholarship funds will be awarded to the student upon evidence of registration in an accredited post secondary institution. Evidence of registration must include a fee bill and it does not have to be shown until winners are chosen.

Purpose: To provide a scholarship to three (3) high school graduating seniors intending to pursue post-high school course of study at either college/university.

Award Components: One (1) $750 scholarship awarded to one (1) student in each of the following parishes (pending all requirements met): St. Charles, St. James & St. John the Baptist.

 Application Process:
Applicant must submit the following items:
1. Completed application form.
2. An official high school transcript with cumulative grade point average received by the application deadline.
NOTE: In lieu of mail, transcript can be sent via email to rpacdstscholarship@gmail.com directly from an approved school designee such as a counselor or administrator using their school's email address. 
3. Personal Essay (500 words maximum). 

Deadline for transcript to be received is March 1, 2026. Please email or mail official transcript.
