Environment change around us Panel discussion on Thursday, November 17 from 5-6:30pm. NYU Abu Dhabi Campus A3 building auditorium.
This panel discussion is organized around Holoscenes, a powerful performance piece we are presenting on the theme of climate change and rising water levels. Its a large-scale performance-installation that embodies the trauma of global flooding. In this piece, a series of performers engage in everyday activities in a human-sized aquarium, which literally floods with 13 tons of water. The performers continue their activities, seemingly in denial that their environment is changing around them.
Panelists will include Lars Jan, creator of Holoscenes, Dr. Aisha Alsuwaidi from “The Petroleum Institute” Geosciences department, Dr. Hector H. Hernandez, Assistant Professor Chemical Engineering,
And moderated by Mark Swislocki
