Since its formation in 1920, the California-Nevada Section of the American Water Works Association has been a forum for the creation and exchange of vital information on the practices and policies to ensure safe, reliable water to protect public health.
It is the policy of the CA-NV Section AWWA that conference presenters must register for at least one day. Abstracts will be reviewed by the Technical Program Committee and subject matter committees.
Please fill out all of the requested information to ensure a smooth review of your submitted abstract. We are very much looking forward to seeing what your peers within the world of water have been working on! For your presentation blurb, please try to limit it to 3-5 sentences, beginning with the phrase, "Participants in this session will learn.."
The title should be brief, clearly indicating the nature of the proposed session. Abstracts must provide a 300-500 word description, stating the objectives, status, methodology, findings and significance of the project or investigation. Hot topics and new developments are especially welcomed. The Section must receive a biography for each speaker suitable for the purpose of introduction. The use of company names and logos within a presentation must be kept to the first and last slide only and not used throughout the presentation. Presenters with proprietary interest of any kind agree not to advertise, promote, endorse or market their interest during their presentation at any time. The Section must receive a copy of your presentation before or during the conference. With your agreement, the Section will make presentations available to attendees. The Section reserves the right to cancel and/ or request a change to a presentation based on content submitted. In general, speakers must register for the conference. Exclusions to this policy can be addressed following abstract acceptance on a case by case basis.
