We are looking for one person who is willing to sell her/his used phone, including all the photos and videos contained within it. We will pay you $1,000.
You must be over 18.
Your phone must contain thousands of photos and videos, taken by you (its owner) over the course of several years.
All photos and videos will be used for an artwork addressing issues of privacy, exhibitionism and voyeurism in our hyperconnected society. They will become part of the permanent collection of a major art museum in New York City. They will be shown both on the museum’s website and in exhibitions worldwide. In other words, your photos will become public, forever.
IMPORTANT: You will give us your phone without removing any of its photo or video contents. You must own all the rights to the photos and videos, and you will sign a contract that licenses non-exclusive rights of all material to the artists.
To apply, please fill out the form below for a chance to be selected. We will ultimately select one candidate from all applications submitted.
