1ST MAYOR FREDERICK W. SIAO OPEN-INVITATIONAL BANGKATHON 
As part of the official activities for Diyandi Festival 2025, the City Mayor’s Office – Barangay Affairs Office proudly presents the 1st Mayor Frederick W. Siao Open Invitational Bangkathon — a pioneering motorized boat racing event that celebrates Iligan City's vibrant maritime heritage and thriving agri-aqua tourism potential.

This event highlights the beauty and significance of Iligan’s coastal and river communities while promoting unity, friendly competition, and cultural pride across Mindanao. Open to participants from various provinces, the Bangkathon serves as both a thrilling sport and a platform to raise awareness about the vital role of our aquatic resources in sustainable livelihood and local tourism.

Under the leadership of Mayor Frederick W. Siao, this activity is set to be a major festival highlight and a bold step toward promoting community engagement, regional collaboration, and sustainable tourism development in Iligan City.

This competition is open to all participants across MINDANAO. The organizing team will cater FIRST 30 PARTICIPANTS, ONLY.
