Consent to partake in the study
You are being invited to take part in a survey that is being conducted to explore the status of playful learning in Malawi. Particularly, the study seeks to establish presumed benefits of learning through play. Learning through play or play based learning is the use of playing (of games) as a learning method. It is both formal (as can be used in school curriculum) or informal (as when a player plays with the intention to learn new knowledge, exercise their understanding of existing knowledge or a skill). This study is being conducted against the background that playing is a natural phenomenon and that kids learn many things about the world as they play. To participate in this study, you will answer some questions about learning through play and how it relates to the education of your child. There are no right nor wrong answers. Your answers will be recorded and shall be handled with privacy. Your name and other personal information will not be recorded.
