Terms and Conditions of Instrument Hire
NEGS’ INSTRUMENT HIRE - TERMS AND CONDITIONS
AIM
The NEGS Music Department provide musical instruments for hire to students enrolled at NEGS. These instruments allow students to quickly commence lessons, providing a temporary solution until their own instrument can be purchased; the transition to their own instrument greatly increases the student’s motivation to learn. The instruments also provide the opportunity to become involved in classroom band programs, allowing students to sample instruments that they may like to learn. The maximum length of available hire is 2 years.
FEES
The hire fee for all instruments is $30 per term. This will be charged to your school account at the commencement of the hire period, and will automatically be billed at the start of each following term until the return of the instrument. Return of an instrument must be finalised by the last school day of each semester to avoid being charged the following term’s fees.
A maintenance kit of consumable items for the instrument will be provided at the commencement of hire.
Individual items from the maintenance kit can be replaced at the hirer’s discretion, or sourced through the music department with the appropriate cost charged to the student’s account.
