Student Bill of Rights Ideas
According to the Student Bill of Rights Toolkit, "GENUp believes it is integral that school boards across California adopt a localized student Bill of Rights that ensures students are equal partners in the education they receive. We believe students are the primary stakeholders in the education system, and thus, it is integral for schools to protect the rights of all students; to ensure that students feel equipped and prepared to continue their education even in challenging and adaptive circumstances.

GENUp prioritizes strong student engagement and participation, as we believe that is crucial to the success of any California school district. However, due to the current model in the education system, strong student voice in local education policy is not common. Therefore, allowing students a platform to speak out against the injustices in their community, which can better be enabled through the Bill of Rights, ensures accurate representation of and equitable access for all students."

This form is to collect the ideas of what rights you, as a student, want to be guaranteed!
