We're putting together a crack team of volunteer partners who have experience with canvassing — or are eager to gain some — to help us build the biggest, most productive, most effective, and most fun canvassing program of any campaign in history. We'll be reaching voters not only at their doors but also all across the city, at events and on the streets. If you'd like to help build this program, please sign up below.
As part of this volunteer team, you won't just be contacting voters, you'll be helping us to design and implement the best system for training and managing canvassers. Additionally, we'll be hiring a select number of highly productive and effective canvassers for paid, full-time positions. You can indicate your interest in a paid role in the form below.
SF voters want change. Even people (like us!) who respect Nancy Pelosi's groundbreaking achievements agree that San Francisco needs fresh representation in Congress and that the Democratic Party needs new leadership. The challenge is getting the message out to ALL San Francisco voters that Nancy Pelosi has a serious challenger on the ballot this year: someone who champions overwhelmingly popular progressive and commonsense solutions, with impressive experience both in politics—like serving as AOC's campaign manager and chief of staff—and in business and tech, as the founder of his own successful company and a founding engineer at Stripe, one of the most successful companies in the world. Saikat has the background and experience to win over voters across San Francisco's political spectrum. Talking with voters at their doors is genuinely fun because Saikat is such an exciting candidate who resonates with voters as soon as they learn about him.
We're perfectly set up for success—we just need a canvassing program that's effective, productive, and big enough to bring Saikat's message to virtually EVERY voter in San Francisco.
Effective: Volunteers and paid canvassers must be well-trained to clearly communicate Saikat's message, genuinely connect with voters, and accurately track their interactions.
Productive: To reach EVERY San Francisco voter, we need to ensure canvassers can engage a large number of voters per hour of door-knocking. Luckily, San Francisco might just be the best city in the country for productive canvassing, so our task is clear!
Big: We must steadily grow our canvassing team each week until we have a large, highly trained, and practiced group hitting the streets daily in the crucial final months of the election.
And don't forget fun: We need to make participating in the canvassing program fun — because fun is better than not fun! But also because if it's not fun, it's not going to grow as much as we need it to.
