Community Science Workshops are places that provide hands-on opportunities for students to discover science and technology through interest and inquiry. The philosophy of "learning through discovery" is inspired by the Exploratorium Teacher Institute. Activities and lesson structure are inspired by the Community Science Workshop ‘CSW’ Network. This will be the third year of our John Muir Science Workshop. You can learn more about it here: http://martinezscienceworkshop.blogspot.com/.
These sessions are 100% sponsored by JME PTA and are at no cost to students.
To signup, please complete this form. If we have more students signup than we have spaces for, we will rotate all students through as many classes as possible. So, students may attend less frequently than once or twice per week depending on space availability.
We will post the schedule and notify you prior to September 15th. Additional photo release and insurance waiver will be required on the first day of the workshop.
