Join our FilmED Showcase series and explore innovative approaches to film education. Across six webinars in October 2025, we’ll dive into some of today’s most exciting topics in the field. Each session will be hosted by the authors of the FilmED website – the very people who piloted the activities in practice before sharing them on the platform.

What to expect in each showcase?
Film History and Film Language - How Can They Be Helpful in the Contemporary World?
(7th October, 17:00 CET): Understand film’s historical context and language to enhance critical thinking and media literacy; explore classics, sound design, montage, and European short films.
The Practice of Filmmaking (9th October, 17:00 CET): Learn practical filmmaking skills including camera work, editing, storytelling, and creative use of found footage.
Film Education for Preschoolers (14th October, 17:00 CET): Discover strategies for introducing young children to film, fostering visual literacy, creativity, and emotional intelligence.
How to Teach Educators (16th October, 17:00 CET): Explore the role of organizations and institutions in supporting teachers, providing resources, training, and collaboration opportunities.
Accessibility in Film Education (21st October, 17:00 CET): Learn inclusive approaches to ensure equitable access to film education for diverse learners.
Interdisciplinary Film Education (30th October, 17:00 CET): See how film can be integrated across subjects, combining science, emotions, and sensory experiences to deepen engagement and empathy.
Each session will consist of presentations and moderated Q&A sessions and will be held in English.
