Croatian language learning and usage outside Croatia
Dear Madam/Sir,

The purpose of this questionnaire is to gather data about Croatian language learning and usage by Croatians and people of Croatian descent who live outside Croatia. The questionnaire is exclusively intended for scientific purposes as part of the research project 'Croatian as heritage language: current state and developmental perspectives' of the Faculty of Teacher Education, University of Zagreb (Main researcher Lidija Cvikić, PhD) in cooperation with The Croatian Heritage Foundation.

The questionnaire deals with Croatian-learning experiences and the usage of Croatian in the family and community. We believe that such extensive and detailed insight into the current state of Croatian learning and usage outside Croatia will provide key data needed for further development and improvement of the Croatian learning curriculum and consequently to the preservation of the Croatian language abroad. Therefore your help and cooperation is extremely important to us and we really appreciate it! Thank you.

This questionnaire is completely anonymous. All personal data gathered by it will be confidential and available exclusively to researchers. The research results are intended for scientific purposes only. By filling out the questionnaire you are giving approval for participating in the research. It takes 15 - 20 minutes to fill out the questionnaire.

We are grateful to Sanja Zubčić, PhD, University of Rijeka, and Luka Budak, MA, University of Macquire on whose questionnaire and research results this questionnaire is partly based.

Once again a sincere thank you on your help!
