Produce for the People (PftP) is an initiative of the Duluth Community Garden Program (DCGP) that helps Duluth area gardeners donate their surplus produce to those in our community who need it most. The produce will be delivered to local food shelves and soup kitchens. Anyone who grows fresh, chemical free produce can participate!
Follow these guidelines to make a donation:
-Fill out this form each time you make a donation.
-We will not accept produce that has been sprayed with any chemical pesticides or fertilizers in the last year.
-We will only accept produce that is in decent shape. (Nothing rotting or damaged.)
-Please do not wash your produce ahead of time. Dirty is okay!
You may deliver your donation directly to a food shelf or soup kitchen, or we can pick it up and deliver it for you. However, we are not able to come to your home to pick up very small donations (for example: "2 heads of lettuce" or "5 apples.") Please try to deliver these on your own, or consider donating more.
