1) Green Infrastructure (GI) 101 Workshop
The Water Wise Green Infrastructure 101 Workshop provides an introduction to how green infrastructure can be implemented on your property to help reduce flooding! Green Infrastructure topics that will be discussed include: rain gardens, french drains, permeable pavers, bioswales, rain barrels, etc.
The agenda of the Green Infrastructure 101 Workshop is as follows:
-New Orleans’ Drainage System and Grey Infrastructure
-Flooding, Subsidence, Water Quality and Maintenance
-Thinking Outside the Pipe: Green Infrastructure
-Green Infrastructure Types, Components and Benefits
-How to Get Involved
2) City Wide Green Infrastructure Tour
On the Green Infrastructure Tour, we will hop on a bus and take participants on a tour of New Orleans' own green infrastructure projects. Participants will see both large scale and small scale projects in action. We will meet experts at each site and learn about how they were constructed along with their benefits.
Seating for the tour is limited!
*Funding for projects are available to residents and businesses located in Treme, 7th Ward, Upper 9th Ward, Lower 9th Ward, New Orleans East or Hollygrove-Dixon.

El Taller de Infraestructura Verde 101 de Water Wise proporciona una introducción sobre cómo se puede implementar la infraestructura verde en su propiedad para ayudar a reducir las inundaciones. Los participantes verán proyectos tanto a gran escala como a pequeña escala en acción. Nos reuniremos con expertos en cada sitio y aprenderemos sobre cómo fueron construidos junto con sus beneficios.
