Playful Learning @ FETC: Bringing Game Based Learning to your Classroom!

FETC 2014 is proud to partner with Learning Games Network and BrainPOP to offer a free day of professional development to educators from across the country to innovate through the use of games in education. In this hands-on BYOD workshop for those new to game based learning, educators will learn the basics of the tools, opportunities and strategies to effectively integrate games into quality teaching.

This event is FREE to all registered FETC 2014 attendees and participants will earn 6 hours CEU credits for attendance. The workshop will be held Tuesday, January 28, 2014 from 9 am – 4 pm in room S310BC of the Orange County Convention Center. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own devices, laptops are preferred but tablets are welcome! Join The Game Based Learning Experience @FETC by registering below! The first 200 participants to register will be accepted!

The Learning Games Network is a non-profit spin-off of the MIT Education Arcade and the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Games+Learning+Society Center. Founded in 2008, this group bridges research and practice in game based learning research and development. BrainPOP creates animated, curricular content that engages students, supports educators, and bolsters achievement. Their award-winning online educational resource is also home to GameUp, a free educational games portal for the classroom available at brainpop.com/games.
