2015 Teaching & Learning with Technology Symposium Proposal
Proposal Guidelines

Deadline for Submissions is February 20, 2015.

1. Proposals are accepted electronically through this form or via email attachment with the subject line "Technology Symposium Proposal" (Microsoft Word attachments preferred).  

2. In addition to topic, priority is weighted by date of submission (please file early).  

3. Notification will be made electronically as soon as possible, no later than by February 27, 2015.

Proposal Form:
Please respond to each question.  Note: the technology requirements are essential in order for us to plan appropriately!
Your name: Please include professional or academic title of preference (i.e. Dr., Professor, Ms. Mr., etc.)  If you are presenting with others, add their information to the prompt below. *
Your biographical Information:  Include: department, email address, office address and phone number.  In a sentence or two, anything else that you would like included (no more than 40 words, given space, we will add this information.) *
Names and biographical information of co-presenters (include title of preference).
If there is a designated order to how the names appear, please number them before each name.   (Please use the prompt at the end to includes names of groups of students.)
Title of your Presentation/Exhibition (no more than 10 words, please.) *
Objective(s) of the Presentation (What do you anticipate that guests will gain?) *
5. Abstract:  Describe your presentation in no more than 150 words.  Include elements such as describing the technology you used and how you incorporated it into your teaching practices, your rationale for making these choices, and the success or impact the technology/teaching had (or may have had) on student learning. *
6. Resources: Any that you find relevant to your presentation. If relevant for guests, and given space, we will include them. *
7. Technology Requirements:  Describe in detail the “specific” technology your e-poster requires:  (i.e. CD-ROM drive, sound card, zip drive, software…etc.)  Let us know if you are able to use your own laptop or will need a provided computer. *
If your presentation includes a group of students, please provide their names.  (Please be aware that our space is limited.  We can accommodate only two students per presentation at a time.  If you have more, you may need to rotate them. Please contact us if this is a problem.  Thank you!)
Please send a digital photo of yourself as a separate attachment.  It is helpful if this is a .png or a .jpg file).  If you do not have a digital photo, please indicate here or let us know as soon as possible so that we can arrange to have one taken. *
