Youth Regional Transport Forum survey
The Youth Regional Transport Forum is conducting a survey to find out more about young people's experiences of using public transport in Tyne and Wear. This can include taking the bus, Metro, train, ferry or taxi for school, work, seeing friends or any other reason.

The Regional Transport Forum is currently made up of young people from the boroughs of Newcastle, North Tyneside, South Tyneside and Sunderland. The group is supported by participation officers working for these local authorities, community liaison representatives from Nexus, the public transport body for the Tyne and Wear region, and Sean Peacock, a PhD student from Newcastle University. Our aim as a group is to discuss, understand and help improve young people's experiences of public transport across Tyneside and Wearside.

The survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete. In taking this survey, you will remain totally anonymous - all we ask for is your age and what borough you live in. Please do not include your name, school or any other personal information that could identify who you are in your responses. We (members of the Regional Transport Forum) will look at all the answers you give in this survey to help decide on what our priority should be as a group, and what issue or issues we should tackle in 2019.

We are looking for young people aged 11-25 living in Tyne and Wear (Newcastle, Gateshead, North Tyneside, South Tyneside and Sunderland) to complete our survey. If you are under 18, please ask permission from a parent, carer or another responsible adult (e.g. a teacher) before completing this survey.

If you have any questions about this survey or how the results will be used, please get in touch with Sean Peacock by emailing s.peacock@ncl.ac.uk or calling 0191 208 4642 (daytime only).

The closing date for this survey is Wednesday 23 January 2019. Please feel free to share this survey with friends, classmates or other young people you know in Tyne and Wear.
