Register for the Central Illinois Farm to School Boot Camp here!
Teams of food service, administration and garden managers are encouraged to join us for a day of learning and hands-on collaboration for all things "farm to school" in a professional learning space. We will share FREE programming, procurement methods that coordinate with USDA and CACFP regulations, connectivity beyond your garden program, and sure-fire menuing ideas for both K-12 and early childhood.
Next, join us at nearby Fowler Farm for a tour of a working CSA farm that supplies U of I housing facilities, and visit the school's garden complete with chickens, pigs and a duck! Then meet and mingle with farmers who want to work with institutional buyers.
*In case of inclement weather we will move to the Betsy’s Bistro inside Parkland for our networking with local farmers.
